Things To Do

Hiking& Biking:  There are at least 10 hiking trails on the road to Flamingo, ranging from 1/4 mile loops to multi-mile trails that end at the Florida Bay .  Sorry, no ORV’s or ATV’s allowed in the national park.

Canoeing:  There are also several canoe trails in and around Flamingo.  Bring your own or rent one at the Flamingo Marina. There are also skiffs for rent.

Sightseeing:  There is a back country boat tour out of Flamingo Marina. It has limited space, so make reservations early at the marina rental cache.

Fishing:  There is both fresh and salt water fishing in the Flamingo area.  Go to myfwc.com to find out if you need a fishing license.  No hunting.

Games:  There will be games for kids to adults, individuals to battalions.

Socializing: Campfires, BBQs, Bring your guitars and harmonicas.

Everglades Education:  There will be ranger presentations  suitable for kids and adults.

Be Benevolent:  This is going to be a huge undertaking for us, so we could sure use some help.  We already have a few members stepping up to run a game or two.  When you sign up for the campout, take a look at the volunteer sheet.  Sign you and your crew up for a shift at the canteen truck, or call Doug Keller @ 786 514 4628.
